Make some
noise for the real 6 God, Drizzy Drake, the biggest artist in the world.”
Those words came from The Weeknd after he brought the rapper to the stage during the London stop of his Legend of the Fall tour. After Drake performed a few cuts and concluded his mini-set with “Energy,” he spoke about the first time he heard the R&B star’s music.
“I’m gonna tell you like this,” Drizzy began. “I wanna say, I’ll never forget in my life the first time I ever heard this guy right here. It was a rainy night. It was in Toronto, Canada. My boy came and picked me up, played me ‘What You Need.’ After that, we met up at the studio, and I heard House of Balloons, which is my top five albums of all time. That’s my favorite sh–. Since then, my brother has gone on to become the biggest.”
Drake then made sure everyone knew that it’ll always be OVO and XO together, no matter what, so maybe those beef rumors will finally be put to bed once and for all.
