Drake staged a surprise gig for fans in London on Thursday (February 16) when he crashed a concert headlined by fellow rappers Smoke Dawg and Nafe Smallz.
The “Hotline Bling” hitmaker had a night off in between shows on his Boy Meets World Tour and decided to drop by club XOYO, where the rising stars were both billed to perform.
In video footage posted online, attendees screamed as Drake stepped out onstage and launched into his hit “Energy.”
He also brought out a few special guests, with British MCs Skepta, Giggs and the Section Boyz all making appearances at the small venue, which only holds 800 people.
The set was so impromptu, Giggs later admitted he had no idea he would be performing that night.
Sharing a concert clip on Instagram today (February 17), he wrote, “Last night I threw on a tracksuit with a plan to quickly step out, eat a quick food, go home and catch up on some sleep. Next thing I know, this is happening….”

After the XOYO surprise, Drake headed to the city’s Paper nightclub, where he also hopped on the microphone, much to the crowd’s delight.
Drake has been serving up treats for fans throughout his Boy Meets World trek and at his gig at London’s O2 Arena on Wednesday (February 15), he helped to make one devotee’s American football dreams come true after calling on his athlete pal Odell Beckham, Jr. to sign the man’s jersey.
The star athlete was among the famous guests in the audience at the show, and after Drake spotted the fan’s New York Giants shirt, he promptly took it over to Beckham, Jr. to autograph.
The Canadian rapper added his signature, before giving the top back, much to the fan’s amazement.
“There you go, brother,” he smiled in video footage of the encounter, as the man could be heard screaming, “Oh my God, oh my God!”
