News -Rapper J. Cole’s Hits No. 1 on Billboard

 J. Cole
Just a month after
it was announced that every song on J. Cole‘s 4 Your Eyez Only album reached the Top 40, his latest song “High For Hours” has hit No. 1 on Billboard.
More specifically, the tune gained the top spot on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks Chart, which is a first for the Roc Nation rhymer.Quite fittingly, Cole dropped the thought-provoking tune on Martin Luther King Day, and the lyrics center around a meeting he had with Obama.
“I got the vibe he was sincere and that the brother cared / But dog, you in the chair, what’s the hold up? / He said ‘There’s things that I wanna fix, but you know this s—, n—- /, politics / Don’t stop fighting and don’t stop believing / You can make the world better for your kids before you leave it,'” he rhymes in the cut.
So far, the North Carolina MC hasn’t responded to the news of “High For Hours” going No. 1, which isn’t surprising because he seems to be focused on other things besides numbers and accolades, which is refreshing.
