Kanye West sat down with BBC Radio
1’s Annie Mac for a taped interview slated to run later this week and the rap star confirmed he will indeed take on Donald Trump for President in 2020.
Last year in September of 2015, Kanye announced he would run in 2020 during his appearance at the VMA Awards.
During an interview with Annie Mac, Kanye discussed the subject after thousands of his fans flooded his social media accounts earlier in the week, begging him to run against Donald Trump in four years.
Kanye revealed the type of campaign he would run on in 2020 and he didn’t sound too far removed from the current POTUS, in terms of experience, or engaging with the establishment.
“When I talk about the idea of being president, I’m not saying I have any political views. I don’t have views on politics, I just have a view on humanity, on people, on the truth,” Kanye West told Annie Mac. “If there is anything that I can do with my time and my day, to somehow make a difference while I’m alive I’m going to try to do it.”The full interview will drop on Monday..
