 Drake
Drake is already having a busy season with his “Summer
Sixteen” tour with Future and fending off lyrical attacks from Joe Budden, but it looks like he’s ready to bring more music to his dedicated fans.
During his tour stop in Kansas City, Mo., on Saturday (July 23), the Toronto rhymer took a moment to thank his fans for their love and support and let everyone know that he’s working on some new stuff.
“I want you to protect yourselves and each other,” Drake told the cheering crowd, according to Vibe. “When I go and work on this new mixtape and come back to Kansas City and I drop that s—, I wanna see everybody in this motherf—er boy!”
There’s no word on when his mixtape will drop. Drake’s last so-called mixtape project was his What A Time To Be Alive with fellow rhymer Future in 2015. The collection was a chart-topping success boasting a few infectious jams like “Jumpman,” “Big Rings” and “Plastic Bags.”
The news of a new mixtape also comes as rumors surfaced that Drake and Gucci Mane are planning to collaborate on a new project.
While it’s great that Drizzy is working on new music, we are still waiting for a response to Joe Budden. We are just saying.
In any case, it’s good to see that Drake is still being creative while juggling a tour and other responsibilities.
